How to Install on Windows

Because metis is in early release and not yet code-signed with a commercial Microsoft certificate, Windows Defender SmartScreen may display a warning. Follow these simple steps to complete installation.

Run the Installer

Double-click the downloaded .exe file to launch. Windows Defender SmartScreen may present a blue warning dialog saying "Windows protected your PC". Click the "More info" text link below the headline.

Select Run Anyway

Clicking "More info" expands the window details, showing the app filename and unknown publisher statement. Click the newly revealed "Run anyway" button at the bottom left to proceed.

Complete Wizard

The standard installation wizard will open. Choose your preferred installation directory, follow the steps, and launch metis from your Desktop or Start Menu.
